“Amma’s Sameiyal” –

Restaurants offering Traditional and Authentic Tamil & Malayali Cuisine

The delectable cuisine offered would be a vibrant celebration of bold spices, chosen varieties of fresh ingredients and traditional time-tested cooking. The iconic dishes, aromatic broths, served traditionally on a fresh banana leaf, would be cooked by expert cooks from Thanjavur and Kochi, each having more than 15 years of specialty cooking experience of Tamil and Malayali dishes.

Out of a total of 257 dishes that have been tried, sampled and tested by the discerning consumers of Chennai and Kochi, 50 dishes would be served every day in rotation and as per the local demand. The “Kerala Sadya,” ultimate vegetarian feast, featuring up to 28 dishes, served on a fresh banana leaf, would become a constant Brunch on Saturdays. And the “Tamil Pongal,” a wholesome and tasty vegetarian meal, comprising of 25 traditional dishes, served on a fresh banana leaf, would be the feature of the Sunday Brunch.

Additionally, it would be our endeavor to offer the Senior Citizen, carefully planned dishes for the Diabetics. One of the favorites in the trials was the Diabetic Idlis with a low GI, as compared to normal rice idlis. Work is in progress in developing recipes for the patients of Cancer, BP, Cholesterol, Pregnancy (all the 3 trimesters), Thyroid, Iron Deficiency, Heart ailments, Calcium Deficiency, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Fatty Liver, etc. A team of Nutritionists and Dieticians, across India, are working on the same, under the guidance of Diabetologists and other specialists.

The first three “Amma’s Sameiyal” Restaurants would be soon coming up in Pune, Dehradun and Delhi, followed by Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mumbai and Indore. We are looking at 12 Specialty Restaurants in the first phase.

Every outlet would be supervised by a F&B Quality Assurance Manager and a Nutritionist, to maintain the quality and the desired nutrition levels in the dishes served.

We are also looking at getting into Airports, prominent hospitals, Railway stations and Institutions.

“R&F Souplets,” small retail formats, serving healthy soups, is being planned by our in-house team of Nutritionists. As of now 115 healthy soups have been designed, sampled and tested across the country.

With Amma’s blessings we are all set to take off on this endeavor and would look for your best wishes, support and patronage.

Regards
